A Summer Wedding at Variety Works

This summer wedding at Variety Works in Madison, Georgia was nothing short of beautiful. Kat and Evan had an intimate wedding with less than 100 of their closest friends and family, some of whom flew in from around the world, to celebrate their love and coming together in marriage.

Kat and Evan are amazing together. He just melts when he’s near her, and she lights up and giggles like a little girl. Both of them are so incredibly in love, and it was an honor to celebrate alongside them this past weekend.

When I arrived, Kat was in the bridal suite with her wedding party, getting ready, laughing, and genuinely enjoying some intimate time with her girls.

Kat and Evan brought their dog, Max, who played an important role in the ceremony. Getting him ready was hilarious… A dog in a tux… Need I say more?

While the girls enjoyed their time together and got ready for the big day, I explored all the precious details around the venue. It was clear that Kat had put so much time and thought into the decor and guest favors… Everything was customized perfectly.

The warmth of the reception hall was so welcoming. It’s perfect for an intimate wedding.

The Bride’s Final Touches

Kat’s mom helped Kat into her wedding dress, and the girls assisted her with all the final pieces.

Finally, we headed outside!!

First Look with the Father of the Bride

Kat went into hiding with her girls, and guests began arriving for the ceremony.

The ceremony is sealed with vows, and a kiss

After their lovely ceremony, we headed across the street to Madison Town Park for a few newlywed portraits.

A Wedding in Madison, Georgia

Right after their shoe game, Kat and Evan’s final big event for the night was a sparkler celebration. This was *awesome* because it allowed the guests who were ready to leave to depart without feeling awkward, and the rest of their friends and family an opportunity to have fun formally celebrating them one last time before coming back inside to party the night away. I can tell you: the DJ kicked it up a notch after the sparkler celebration; I could hear the music bumping, and all the guests laughing and partying as I walked to my car.

What a fun night.

To Kat and Evan: Thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer, and having so much fun with me as we got to know each other along the way.

To the family and friends: Thank you for so kindly welcoming me, and for your kind words throughout the evening. I truly adore Kat and Evan, and loved meeting all of you.

(Kat and Evan’s full gallery should be up in just a few weeks!!)

xoxo,

Rocheal

What an amazing wedding that I personally will never forget!! The love, the acceptance, the kindness shown by both family’s as they welcomed eachother into this new union of their son/daughter/neice/nephew/grandson/grand daughter was just a site to behold and I am so blessed to have been able to witness it all first hand!! The way Kat’s family adores her is amazing too see and the way all my family loves and supports my first cousin Evan has always been a priority in our lives.

A huge personal thank you to all Kat’s family for such an awesome welcoming for me on the dance floor long into the night and early morning hours! The long conversations, the helpful tips and patience with my lack of knowledge of the cultural differences, and the many people who took the time to teach me some amazing dancing moves, I will never forget all that I have learned and will expand upon what I have been taught to become better educated and a better dancer for the next time I am blessed to be in their presence.

Until we meet again, stay blessed both new and old family. I love you all! ¡Los amo a todos!
