I used to teach with Ashley. We were on the same grade level, many times dealing with the same kids, frequently ranting and raving about the same stuff. She is an awesome teacher.

Anyway- fast forward some years… Ashley got married, built her own house, and began planning a family! When she asked me to shoot her maternity photos, I was stoked. Ashley chose my “Baby’s First Year” package, which is a maternity, newborn, and 1st year bonus cake smash session. I’m so excited to watch her family grow!

She’s breathtaking. And her husband Alex is a hoot.

Ashley and Alex are super protective, and so completely smitten with their baby. Oliver simply rocked his newborn session. (Newborns are tricky to photograph!! Oliver is the fourth newborn I’ve taken photos of, and the first newborn since I’ve officially started my business. Fun!)

The two of them just take my breath away.

I love how his dad is cradling him, ever so protectively.

They say to never shoot “up the nose”… His precious details just dared me to break the rules.

Last night I photographed a corporate event, and then jumped out of bed early this morning for Oliver’s session. It’s 11:00 at night, and I’m beat… But I couldn’t WAIT to edit a few of these and send a sneak peek.
