Sugar Hill Wedding at Ashton Gardens

What a way to end the summer!! Man, this Sugar Hill wedding at Ashton Gardens was a B-L-A-S-T!! From high school sweethearts to married adults- what a blessing it was to celebrate alongside Jean and Andrew as they finally tied the knot!

I don’t often photograph Sunday weddings, but I knew right away that these two and I (I feel like a professional third wheel) were perfect for each other. Between Andrew’s baby face, Jean’s captivating personality, and their infectious smiles — y’all — I’m in love with them. (How can you not be?!)

It was great to be back at Ashton Gardens. This place operates uniquely, so knowing their grounds and how their wedding days coordinate really helps! Especially when you’re on as tight a timeline as we were with Andrew and Jean!

Before the Wedding Ceremony at Ashton Gardens

Listen: I love me some big wedding parties, and 6 is the perfect number. Especially when all the girls get along like these girls do!! Even though we were rushing a bit, we had a BLAST together. These gals are hilarious, and Tamia here (in the middle) was pro at sparking a roar of laughter. 😂

Meanwhile, Andrew and his guys– It was so great to see him again, and meeting his friends was a blast! They’re such a great gang- we had a GREAT time at their reception. (Just wait!)

Sugar Hill Wedding at Ashton Gardens – Ceremony

I know the reason *everyone* chooses Ashton Gardens is for their breathtaking ceremony space. Seriously unique to Ashton Gardens is it’s beautiful in every season– the summer has gorgeous greenery, fall has the colors, winter looks like a wonderland (in photos) back there, and spring has the perfect amount of light greens! It’s *always* picture perfect. (I just wish they would add some vines and gardens around the landscape– THEN it’d be PERFECTION.)

(I mean, it’s pretty darn close as it is…)

Portraits

The Reception

When we were taking Andrew’s portraits before his ceremony, a car pulled into the parking lot with BLARING music — humans hanging out of the windows — arms flailing around — car jumping because people were dancing in their seats… That’s when I knew their reception was going to be AWESOME. 😂

(Not to mention: Their DJ was incredible.)

Thank you so much for choosing me as your wedding photographer, Jean and Andrew!!! I love you both to pieces and can’t wait to see you again!!

xoxo,
Rocheal
