If you would have told me back when I first met Dave, that I would some day be capturing the memories at his wedding, I would NOT have believed you! My family is an interesting one, and much of us are knitting together, not by relation, but by friendship. Dave is one of those. I’m not exactly sure how our families are so close, but we are.

You see, I’ve known Dave since I was about 13 years old! What’s crazy is his kids were teeny- and seeing them on Saturday for the first time in YEARS was shocking because they’re SO not teeny anymore! What an honor it was to be apart of their special day.

Dave is such a trooper. I’m not sure I know anyone else in the state of Georgia who hates the GA Bulldogs as much as Dave, so I knew his love for Kelley was deep when I learned they were getting married in downtown Athens.

I won’t mention where we shot most of their portraits, but I WILL mention the fact that Dave MADE the buttons on Kelley’s dress. Aren’t they gorgeous?! (props, Dave!)

Around mid afternoon, we headed downstairs to the hotel’s courtyard for Dave and Kelley’s first look. And my goodness, Dave was absolutely beside himself during their First Look. The courtyard at this hotel was the perfect spot!! Private, quiet, and just a touch of greenery…

I just LOVE how happy their kids are! (Lauren, Riley, Corey, and Logan– you guys are the BEST!! Thanks for being so great throughout the day. And a huge thanks to Corey for all his help carrying my gear up and down the stairs!!)

finally- Davey- Thank you so much for referring Dave and Kelley to me. I was so happy to see them again, and so honored to be apart of this special day!! Dave, Kelley, and the kids: I wish you all the best!!! I hope to see you guys again. (wink!) 🙂
