A Forrest Hills Mountain Resort Wedding

To say I was excited about Kristen and Ryan’s wedding, A Forrest Hills Resort Wedding, would be an understatement. These two were not only getting married on a horse resort (horses are my FAVORITE animals), but they hired one of the most talented florists I’ve EVER seen. This was sure to be a beautiful wedding.

Forrest Hills Mountain Resort is a place I’m so blessed to have shot at. When I arrived, two beautiful black horses ran up to greet me. I was early, so I stopped and hung out with them for a moment. I don’t think there’s a better way to start a wedding day.

Ugh!!!!!! I already want to go back.

Across from the ranch sat this rustic beauty of a building, where Kristen was getting ready for her wedding. I learned when I pulled up that this was their massage studio. (Had I known this before, I would have shown up EXTRA early and gotten myself a massage!) 🙂

Although it was windy, which made shooting the details a little more fun, the sky was covered in a blanket of clouds. Perfect lighting for such days! The random chickens walking by really tied it all together! (haha!)

As Megan was doing the finishing touches on Kristen’s hair and makeup, I was finishing up with detail shots before heading to the Rose Garden Reception Hall at Forrest Hills Resort.

This place does not disappoint.

(Oh my gosh– this reminds me… If I could write a personal note to the amazing soul who crafted this homemade apple butter… It was DELICIOUS!!! May I buy some?!)

Back at the Massage Studio, Kristen’s mom was helping her into her wedding dress. I just love the love between these ladies!

As the day rolled on, we headed over to Ryan just as he was getting suited up for his wedding!! The inscription in his wedding band is SO cool!

Soon after, Kristen headed over and got to see her daddy for the first time, all dolled up, on her wedding day. (These moments are so sweet!)

Lastly, Kristen and Ryan shared their First Look.

And onto their wedding!!

(Can you BELIEVE how GORGEOUS this bouquet is?!?!?!?! I CANNOT get over it!!!!)

(And oh my goodness, y’all!! This cake was AMAZING!!!!!! I seriously could have eaten 5 slices.)

Kristen and Ryan, your day was absolutely stunning. I’m obsessed with your florals, and (as you already have heard me say to you a million times) am so thankful you chose a horse resort for your wedding. Thanks for choosing me to capture this precious day for you and Ryan. Your gallery is coming in the next few weeks!! I cannot wait to show you!

xoxo,
Rocheal
