Morgan and Nick, y’all!!

So I met Morgan when I was about 14 or so, and she must have been around 7? The family connection is confusing, but somehow my dad married into her family! We didn’t connect much as kids– I suppose it was the age difference? I was also a teenager, so… (roll eyes!)

God blessed us with the most beautiful sky during their engagement session at Yellow River Park, and later, the sunset at Prospect Farms was simply incredible.

When my stepmom found out Nick proposed, she encouraged her to reach out to me and I’m SO glad she did!!! Not only are these two the SWEETEST, but wait until you see their eyes. Not to mention they’re getting married at The Engine Room in Monroe, which is going to be SUPER fun.

So after a quick picture in front of the big tree in the field at Yellow River Park, we headed down to the river and quickly learned this was no place for a Saturday photoshoot. There were people EVERYWHERE. We kicked some nice people off a rock, dodged as many others as we could, and these two did their best to pretend they didn’t have an audience of a million. Next time I shoot here, I’ll definitely make sure it’s during sunrise or it’s a week day sunset!

After we snapped a few shots down by the river, we checked the time and raced to Prospect Farms Lawrenceville. Though it’s $60 an hour to shoot there, I must admit it’s convenient. The rolling hills boasted a nice wildflower field, and the sunset is always great there. (I shot there a while ago and loved it!)

Earlier, when we were planning outfits for their session, Morgan mentioned she wanted to wear a dress that she hasn’t worn since their very first date. It was stunning, and I knew it would look amazing on her in this wildflower field.

While Morgan and Nick changed into their fancier clothes I stole her ring for some detail shots. LOVE!!!!!

Browsing Pinterest has become the staple when you’re planning a wedding. Right?? I’m still learning how to use it, but Morgan saw a few Pinterest inspired pictures she wanted to try. This one was fun!

As the sun got lower in the sky, I snapped away while these two played in the field.

I can’t wait for your wedding in March at The Engine Room next year!! Thank you for choosing me as your photographer. You two are the sweetest!!!!

xoxo,
Rocheal
