Look at this good looking’ couple!! Despite embarrassing myself all night long (and no… This time I’m NOT going into details!!), I had an absolute blast with Starr and David at their Engagement Session in Atlanta.
Their love story started at Dancing Goats Coffee Bar in Atlanta near Ponce City Market, and their proposal happened on the rooftop of Ponce City Market. It only made sense for us to hang here for their shoot! We were so excited a super sweet couple gave up their rope swing for Starr and David’s photos because it was simply perfect!
As we chatting wedding plans over coffee and tea, I think we were all eyeing this fountain. How cool that the water falls all the way from the ceiling! I also love how it splashes down onto the wood slats. The place has an authentically charming appeal.
After our coffee break, we headed down to Ponce City Market. If you follow me even in the slightest bit, you know I am at home behind the camera in a wide open uncut field with a golden sunset. I really love stretching myself and growing as a photographer, but WoW! I felt like Ponce City Market was the citiest of the city I’ve ever shot in. Fish out of water? Maybe not that extreme… But it was absolutely a new experience. Thank goodness for Starr and David– their sense of humor and gentle spirits are AMAZING!
We made it down to Ponce City Market, and meandered a bit, finding some cool stops along the way.
I really loved the “Dine” sign with the orange arrow. How fun!!
While the two of them changed into their outfits, their ring just begged for detail shots.
Her center stone is a blue tanzanite, and it’s simply stunning. Trivia: What’s “Zone 22”?
(David designed this thing, y’all!)
We soaked up the last bit of daylight before the gorgeous sunset in front of Ponce City Market.
Finally, we headed inside for a few shots before heading to the Atlanta Beltline.
These two were a blast!! Last but not least, we stopped where we started– right in front of Ponce City Market– for some fun shots under these super cool lights. I love how they just posed themselves! They’re natural models, y’all.
Starr and David, thank you so much for your gentle spirits and constant humor all evening. I had fun with you two, and really hope you had fun with me! I’m seriously excited about your wedding at The Hay House this November.
Thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer!
Answer: “Zone 22” is the Parking App Ponce City Market uses now, and their zone is Zone 22. Use it, so you don’t have to get out of your car for a parking ticket!
