Tori and Ben are ENGAGED! These two are so natural in front of the camera, I kind of wanted to keep them all to myself pretty much all day. I eventually let them leave when Tori started questioning why she hired me. (LOL! Kidding!)
No. They’re just amazing, and I couldn’t stop shooting them!!

Can I be honest for a minute? I was so scared before the session. In fact, straight up petrified.

I’d never done a sunrise session before (Light is different in the morning, y’all!) AND it stormed (hard) all night long. I drove to the session in the rain. Did I mention they live in Valdosta?? (We couldn’t reschedule!)
I played it off. At least I tried…

As I got closer and closer to the park, the rain tapered off. Every once in a while it would sprinkle, but let me tell you something. It was foggy. (Sweet!) The purple photos up there aren’t photoshopped… Because the air was so misty, I played with my off camera flashes to get that effect.

These two met through a mutual friend, and have been inseparable ever since. They have so much in common– their story is  obnoxiously adorable.

And get this: When Ben decided he was going to propose, he grabbed his buddy and the two of them Drove. Around. Town. until they found the “perfect” gazebo for the proposal. He decorated it with lights, pictures, AND mementos from special memories they’d shared together. Think he was done then? Nope.

He wrote a song, which he sung to her, and plays the guitar, which he played for her. Then he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

I’m not even joking y’all. I should’ve been there to photograph this! (wink) 🙂

Anyway- our Sunday session was amazing. We opted for sunrise because Tori is a high school teacher down near Valdosta and couldn’t possibly travel back in the middle of the night, then teach the following morning. (yuck! Could you imagine?!)

After playing with my flashes in the dark, we headed to the wall at Piedmont Park so we could get the Skyline in the background.

For a minute, the sun peeked through the clouds and allowed us to enjoy some gorgeous morning sunlight. It was a bit different than sunset, but still very beautiful.

After hanging out at Piedmont Park all morning, we decided to head to Krog Street Tunnel. We had so much fun snapping photos on our way to the car!

Tori’s ring is absoultely beautiful. I usually photograph the ring while my couples change outfits, but and I couldn’t resist these two plants I spotted while we were walking. I also loved the rain droplets on both the photos, but especially the second…

Next to Krog Street Tunnel is a strip of art. A completely pleasant surprise! We found a few murals we loved and snapped a few photos in front of them before heading into the tunnel.

Aren’t these two adorable?! I’m so excited for their wedding!!

One last moment of raw honesty… Krog Street Tunnel was way different than I expected. The walkways are super cramped, and the art inside is way different than the murals on the outside. I was a little scared I wouldn’t be able to deliver photos after dragging these two inside this place, but check it out!! They played along with my insane yelling from the other side of the tunnel (while cars were driving by) and TOTALLY and completely rocked every single thing I asked them to do. Ben even gelled my flash for me! I’m amazed with these two. And I love what we got.

Their last pose might be my favorite.
